Jewellery Trends

When it comes to jewellery, it's the small things that count. It's the drop earrings or the dainty studs that you can wear with everything and that look great when paired with your favourite outfits. It's the ring or pendant that catches your eye as soon as you walk into a room, so much so that you have to get it out of your bag and admire it in all its glory.

It never fails to surprise us just how much of an impact jewellery can have on your outfits and, indeed, your sense of style. Where jeans and T-shirts and blazers and jumpers might form the staples upon which your ensembles are built, it's pieces such as shoes and bags and hats and a plethora of other accessories that add personality to your wares. None more so than jewellery.

Many of us choose our jewellery carefully and with the utmost consideration, especially when items of the fine variety come into play.

Scroll on to see the jewellery trends we are most excited about for the coming year.

1. Jumbo Pearls

Pearls have been reigning on the jewellery scene for quite some time, with designers proving the trend isn't out of steam just yet with their oversized runway iterations.

The beauty of this look is that it works at every occasion — whether you're wearing it as an accessory to your outfit or just throwing on a statement piece by itself.

2. Cocktail Rings
The cocktail ring trend has been revived by celebrities and socialites alike, who are making the statement with their gold and diamond rings. A modern twist on an ancient symbol, these glamorous cocktail rings are perfect for any occasion.
From delicate pave diamonds to huge chunky solitaires, there is something for everyone here. They add a touch of glamour to your look without taking over too much attention away from your outfit.

3. The shoulder-skimming earrings trend is a great example of the intersection between fashion and jewellery. This season's most popular earring trend is long, drop-like earrings that reached the shoulder. Pearls and jewels are the favourite accoutrement for these beauties, which are calling out to be worn with an updo hairstyle.

These would make a beautiful bridal jewellery option, especially if you're looking for something that can be dressed up or down depending on your outfit choice.

4.Spotlight on Silver

Perhaps one of the biggest shifts in the jewellery world in the past few months has been the surge in the popularity of silver. Although gold tones still continue to dominate the spring/summer 2023 edits, there was a notable rise in the volumes of silver jewellery coming through, which was evident everywhere.

The popularity of silver and its ability to work with different metals has also seen a huge increase this year. We’ve seen it work with gold and even platinum, creating a more versatile look for any design.

As well as this, we’ve also noticed that more designers are experimenting with colour combinations and textures when working with silver jewellery. This means that you get so many different options from just one piece – something which is great news for those who love to mix and match their pieces!
